Got a surprise visit this afternoon from Tina....she's been visiting on the island and pops around every day or so, or we run into her in town, or on the golf cart. About ten minutes after she arrives, Mary from next door calls and asks if we want to taste some wine that Maureen brought her this morning at water aerobics...yeah I know, go figure....water aerobics and wine don't NORMALLY go together, but here in San Pedro, it's hardly an eyebrown raiser.
She came over with a bottle of wine and a bottle of Sprite.....drinks went all around, conversation was fun, the pot licker that showed up with Tina never came in the house...and we all had a great time.
Was getting ready to tune in to "My Name is Earl" and realized that the NBC feed was down. All the other channels working! So I called the local number for the cable company, 100% sure that no one would answer, and lo and behold, the guy who owns the cable company gets on and says, "Hello". I told him that the NBC feed was down, channel 14, and he said, "I'll see what I can do". Well, he must have gone out and twisted one of those big dishes around a few times, because now we have an NBC feed. Sometimes, all you gotta do is ask.
