Revolving Doors

Wikipedia says that a revolving door typically consists of three or four doors that hang on a center shaft and rotate around a vertical axis within a round enclosure. Revolving doors allow large numbers of people to pass in and out.

Sometimes it's like we have a revolving door around here.

As quickly as people leave, new people come. Luckily for us, it is a lot of people who we know and love. We are truly blessed by good friends from all around the world.

The night before the Mackey clan departed..............(for a video of TNT's last island dance, click here

.....some friends from the Chicago area appeared. Bob and Karen came to San Pedro 16 years ago, and stayed with us three years ago too. Three years ago, their daughter was expecting their first grandchild. We have kept in contact with them all this time via email, and they are now the proud grandparents of three!

After dinner at Hidden Treasure, Karen checks out the Neighborhood Watch sign.....

And then, the night before Karen and Bob left, we got a visit from our friend Janie, who we sailed with to Rio Dulce, Guatemala last summer. Janie is from the UK and is on her way to St. Maarten to start a new job. First, she's headed back to the UK for some things, but stopped by San Pedro for a few days to catch up first.

The entire Rio Dulce Clan...myself, Marilyn, Carlos, Walter (El Capitan), Janie and Renita at our overnight stop in Placencia

It is wonderful to have a job where you get an opportunity to not only meet so many neat people, but to have them in and out of our lives here and there, then and now, whenever, is an added bonus.

That's what living the dream is really all about!
